Our Leadership Team

EDC, Inc. was established in 2003, incorporated in St. Lucie County, FL, with  headquarters located in Port Saint Lucie, FL and a Central Florida office located in Melbourne, FL.. We hold occupational licenses in areas throughout our region. Our staff consists of professional engineers, professional surveyors, biologists, environmental scientists, certified planners, engineering interns, survey technicians, CAD technicians, project coordinators other management and clerical staff. Our staff brings with it over 100 years of experience collectively, in the local municipalities and governments and the private sectors.

Roderick J. Kennedy, PE

President and founder of EDC, Inc. &
Professional Engineer

Mr. Kennedy is a Professional Engineer, registered in the State of Florida with over 23 years of pertinent civil engineering experience. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Central Florida and is LEED ®AP Certified. His work has spanned the entire breadth of civil engineering: (water, wastewater, storm water, roadway and drainage). Previously Rod was the City of Port St. Lucie Utilities Department Engineering Manager and was instrumental in developing many of their current technical standards.

Tobin R. "Toby" Overdorf, MS, MBA

Environmental Scientist

Mr. Overdorf is a Professional Environmental Scientist with over 20 years of experience. He holds a Masters Degree in Biological Science and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. He offers fast answers with innovative and cost-effective solutions to complex environmental issues. Whether it is providing due diligence or ushering a project through the maze of multi-jurisdictional environmental regulations, Toby and his staff of biologists, and environmental scientists deliver responsive, thorough, successful results. From small projects to master planned sites, our environmental staff will deliver well planned environmental studies, permit documents, and provide expert innovative solutions according to local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Michael T. Owen, PSM

Vice President of EDC, Inc. & Professional Surveyor

Mr. Owen is a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper, licensed since 1994, having over 34 years of pertinent surveying and mapping experience. Mr. Owen oversees the operation of the survey team; including field surveying, mapping, and construction. Michael’s expertise and specialization in land development throughout Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin and Palm Beach Counties has led him to participate in multiple projects with a variety of surveying components from Sectional Land Surveys, Subdivision Platting, Condominium Exhibits, Sketch and Descriptions, Builders' Packages, and Construction.

Bradley J. Currie, AICP

Vice President of EDC, Inc. & Certified Planner

Mr. Currie is a Certified Land Planner with over 20 years of experience. He holds a Master Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida Atlantic University. Mr. Currie is responsible for a variety of land planning projects that encompass site planning, master planning and application submittals. Mr. Currie has extensive knowledge and experience regarding Rezoning Applications, Comprehensive Plan Amendments, and coordinating applications with clients and the public sector. Mr. Currie also provides expert testimony in public hearings regarding land use and planning, applications and interpretation of comprehensive plans and zoning codes.

Leslie F. Crouch, NCIDQ

Registered Interior Designer

EDC’s Interior Design Division is led by Leslie Crouch. Leslie has 25 years of experience bringing creative, functional and timeless designs to commercial and residential interior environments. Leslie is an NCIDQ certified designer, registered with the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design (ID-5893). She graduated with highest honors from the University of Florida, College of Architecture in Interior Design. Leslie has hands-on design and installation knowledge to create safe, healthy and beautiful spaces. She forges strong partnerships with our clients which is the basis for achieving successful, meaningful solutions. Leslie has served the community as past president of the Felix A. Williams Elementary PTA and Stuart Middle School PTSA as well as a past board member of the Kiwanis Club of Stuart.
